The ‘Stay Famous’ short is a cut form the short film ‘SCARE Plan R’. It stars Frank Streicher as the general and was written and directed by Scott Pauli and Peter Streicher. The film was shot entirely in Madison, WI in the fall of 2008. It started as a collaboration with Cougar to create a music video and became a short film. Cougar’s ‘Stay Famous’ will be available for download on Counter Records on 17th August and the album ‘Patriot’ will be available on download, CD and LP on 24th August. Film Synopsis: This is the story of Frank Streicher, a general who lived in the time of nineteen hundred and sixty-nine in a country known as the United States of America. General Streicher was highly decorated as he had led troops to victory in little know places during the Great War. After retiring he was courted to become part of a secret group known as SCARE International. SCARE was created for the sole purpose of perpetuating fear. Indeed, the organization itself was born out of fear — for the eminent founders were worried peace would make them obsolete. Our story follows General Streicher in his fruitless pursuits of keeping SCARE International afloat. He is faced with challenges of concientious objectors, a general lack of enthusiasm, and a small band of overseers with no compassion for ineptitude.
